Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security architectures for the protection of CISA's cyber infrastructure, focusing on threat intelligence and data security.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and integrate advanced security technologies and systems to address specific organizational threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead security assessments and audits, ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity standards and regulations such as NIST frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to design and enforce security policies and protocols that mitigate risks without impeding organizational efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance on the latest security trends and threats, contributing to the strategic planning of cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans that ensure data integrity and availability in the event of a security breach.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in a security architecture role, preferably within the government, military, or a critical infrastructure environment.
  • Required certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing large-scale security architectures and strategies.
  • Experience with cloud security architectures, including those involving AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
