Director, Threat and Attack Research

This is a newly crafted key leadership role, reporting to the Senior Director, Cyber Defence. You will be instrumental in helping to shape the Optus Cyber defence program, integrating tightly with the broader Detection and Response and Offensive Security function to optimally assess and prioritise cyber threats. 

Why you are our next Director, Threat and Attach Research?  

• Be at the evolution of the Optus Threat and Attack Research (TAR) capability, including adversary tracking and simulation, threat intelligence generation, curation and relationship management  

• Own the continued development of the Defensive Cyber Security capability, including planning and development of supporting business cases for further investment, and ownership of any resulting initiatives within the broader cyber program  

• Be a change maker in the leadership of Cyber Security threat intelligence activities, including developing strategies to track cyber threats and threat actors as tools, techniques and procedures adapt and change  

• Establish and maintain TAR Cyber Security key performance indicators and associated reporting 

• Instill and champion a culture of excellence, integrity, and professionalism; one that works toward the highest standards in cyber security while balancing the needs of the business
