DevSecOps Manager – Patient Safety & Quality  

The DevSecOps Manager is responsible for managing the E2E design, build, test, validate, deploy and run the platform. The main objective for the DevSecOps manager is to deliver projects/services within the committed scope, timeline, quality and budget for Philips.  

He/she also supports the realization of Philips PS&Q strategy by translating this into actionable solutions adhering to defined principles & guidelines. The DevSecOps manager works closely with the Domain lead, Architects, Business Process Owners / Experts, PSE team, Platform Analyst and DevOps partner teams to deliver on the solution/ service as per the business requirement. In addition, close alignment with a variety of business & IT internal stakeholders that manage the respective business domains and application for the responsibilities for the role.  

You are responsible for  

In this role you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Manage or handle part of the E2E design, build, test, deploy and run the platforms in line with planned budget, resources and timelines.

  • Responsible for the lifecycle management of the platform including cost management, Security and Compliance checks.

  • Participate or lead in internal capability-building initiatives, Sourcing and Utilization Management.

  • Interface with other platform teams wherever required and ensure delivery of business demands

  • Enable the business by using best practices, tools, techniques, methodologies like Lean, Agile, DevOps and save costs and efforts to both IT and business

  • Works on complex solutions covering wide range of Patient Safety & Quality related capabilities and processes

  • Executes on the continuous improvement projects / initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

  • Determines risks, define corrective actions and tracks the progress.

  • Continuously report out on the program and service delivery performance towards IT/Function management, takes full accountability of deliverables.

You will be part of the Patient Safety & Quality Domain in Group Functions IT which is a high performing team of specialists that are a strategic partner of a function within Philips. The IT solutions that we define, design, implement and support play a pivotal role in the organization’s ability to ensure Philips improves 2.5 billion lives by 2030. 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree or master's degree from a reputed college or University

    • Total 10 years plus of IT experience

  • Knowledge of the newest IT technology related to Quality domains in medtech companies. 

  • Experience in large-scale, complex IT programs (>20 team members) touching core QMS capabilities

  • Good stakeholder management skills. Understand how to collaborate and communicate with global stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a strong drive to succeed, eager to win, also when confronted with internal dependencies

  • Proven track record in maintaining financial plans and monitoring spend within allocated budget

  • Analytical mindset, problem solving skills and structured person 

  • Expertise in Lean, Agile and DevOps practices  

  • Should be able to look beyond the current scope of work and be able to propose newer IT business propositions to stakeholders and recommend innovations to platform providers

Technical Knowledge & Skills required 

Essential Skills 

  • Strong knowledge of diverse scope of IT applications and supporting Quality and Regulatory functions

  • Good understanding of ITIL processes  

  • Strong knowledge on QMS processes

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), formal & informal

  • Strong project management skills (PMBOK)

Preferred 

  • Medtech / life science experience

  • Experience in build-from-scratch solutions on low-code platforms, instead of solely changing/enhancing existing out-of-the-box systems

  • Requirements gathering / backlog & roadmap creation

    • Relevant project management certifications (Scrum Master or Project Management)
