What to expect from the role?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Security Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure and assets effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's IT assets, including hardware, software, and related resources, ensuring their optimal utilisation and security.

How will your day look like at Bureau?

• IT Asset Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licences, and peripherals.

  • Track asset lifecycles from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits to verify asset information and reconcile discrepancies.

• Security and Data Protection:

  • Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and enforce security measures for IT assets.

  • Ensure data protection protocols are in place for sensitive information stored on company devices.

• Software Licensing and Compliance:

  • Manage software licences, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimising licence usage.

  • Implement procedures for software asset management to track usage, updates, and renewals.

• Hardware Procurement and Deployment:

  • Coordinate the procurement of hardware equipment based on organisational needs and budget constraints.

  • Oversee the deployment and installation of IT hardware, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.

• Asset Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor the performance of IT assets and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement or upgrades.

  • Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.

  • Generate regular reports on asset utilisation, maintenance activities, and compliance status for management review.

What does it take to be in this role?

• Self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in IT Security managing XDR, MDM solutions, IT asset management, procurement, Windows Services, Network Administration, Server and Storage, Desktop/Workstation Administration

• Strong understanding of IT hardware and software technologies.

• Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
