Your impact 

Intelsat’s Information Security Compliance Analyst focuses on driving Intelsat’s Information Security threat and compliance program. They are responsible for performing tasks related to and in support of system security plans, maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures, incident response, gathering security metrics, etc. The Information Compliance Security Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

 

What you will do 

  • Support the 3rd party vendor assessment and IT Risk assessment programs.
  • Provide support in analyzing cyber security and privacy policy programs supporting industry and government security compliance, and management as needed.
  • Contribute to driving and maturing the Information security compliance program via the development and revision of metrics.
  • Drive audit engagements – SOC3 TSC, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CMMC, IA-Pre. Ensure clear communications lines are maintained between auditors, control owners and stakeholders. Assist in documentation, assessment and conducting remediation efforts on any issues that arise from the audit.
  • Track POAM items and work with stakeholders to remediate in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the updating of the enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
  • Conduct third party vendor security assessments, and reassessments to meet audit requirements and as stipulated by policy.
  • Supporting the development of security metrics. Provide feedback to other team members on security control efficacy, vulnerabilities, gaps in visibility, recurring issues, and other items of note.
  • Ensures assigned tasks and projects are completed on schedule

 

 Your required experience/skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in information security, or Computer Science, or any other related discipline or the equivalent years of experience in the Information Assurance field.
  • A fundamental knowledge and understanding of Information security and compliance.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • This role is subject to ITAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

  • Organizational skills and ability to stay focused while managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Critical thinking/analytical skills, creativity, and a proven drive for quality

It would be nice if you had: 

  • One or more of the following security certifications: CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, CFCE, GFCA, and/or GCFE or equivalent. 
  • Experience with threat and vulnerability management, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and vulnerability mitigation
  • PMP or Project Management Experience.
