ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Cybersecurity Engineer SailPoint, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting our identity and access management (IAM) solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and automation of IAM processes, safeguarding our organization's critical assets and data. Analyst Responsible for implementing the Cybersecurity program and strategy at a tactical and operational level (network, infrastructure, applications, and databases) to ensure that security controls are functioning efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, this position also supports the Cybersecurity Team in doing security research and development, product evaluations, consulting, project support, and any other operational tasks needed to support the overall requirements of the program and strategy.

The Cybersecurity Engineer SailPoint participates in establishing and implementing security related standards, procedures, and guidelines appropriate to securing and maturing the existing environment in partnership with various properties and departments to support the enterprise. The optimal goals are to design and implement controls, processes, and integrations to standardize information security solutions related to Role-Based Access Control, Identity, and Access that will enable the enterprise to meet and exceed regulatory, compliance and enterprise goals more effectively.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: 

Design, Develop, and Deploy

  • Design and deploy SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions to meet business requirements for identity governance, access management, and compliance. 
  • Coordinate with property, application owners, and other stakeholders to gather Identity and Access Management (IAM) requirements, perform analysis, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and customize SailPoint workflows, rules, and connectors to align with the organization's IAM policies and procedures.
  • Implement access controls, provisioning, de-provisioning, and entitlement management for various systems and applications.

Maintain and Support

  • Monitor the IAM system's performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure availability and reliability.
  • Maintain a secure IAM infrastructure and address any potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Provide support and assistance to IAM administrators in resolving access-related incidents and requests.

Research & Development

  • Assist in providing R&D and consulting support to the Cybersecurity team, IT and business projects as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features of SailPoint IdentityIQ to suggest enhancements and improvements to the IAM environment.

Operational Planning & Management

  • Design, implement, and report on corporate and property key Performance Indicators related to SailPoint activities and actions.
  • Integrate SailPoint with other IAM technologies, such as Active Directory, LDAP, and multi-factor authentication solutions as required.
  • Assist with managing the relationship with other business units to provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of statistics and metrics
  • Assist in ad-hoc cybersecurity projects, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

3+ years experience as a SailPoint Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions.
Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, including role-based access control, least privilege, and segregation of duties.

Proficiency in developing and customizing SailPoint workflows, rules, and connectors using Java or BeanShell scripting.

Solid knowledge of IT security principles, standards, and best practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technical training equivalent.  SailPoint certifications (e.g., IdentityIQ Engineer, IdentityIQ Administrator) are a plus.
